We automated threat report downloads and imports into BTC’s system. The process regularly prepares data for use in the company’s existing tool.

Project context
BTC used external reports on reported threats. The information was needed in its internal system, requiring regular checks for new reports, downloads and preparation for import.
The project automated this repetitive flow. The company kept its existing tool; it needed the information delivered in the right format.
The challenge
Downloading a file was only one step. The report needed to be checked, converted into a format accepted by BTC’s system and imported.
Automation needed to cover the entire sequence. Simply saving reports to a folder would still leave staff to prepare and transfer the data manually.
Our work
We built a script that runs at agreed intervals and downloads reports from the external source without staff having to start each download.
The next stage validates and processes the report contents. Prepared information is imported directly into the internal system, connecting data collection with its use.
What changed for the company
Reports reach BTC’s tool without manual downloading, conversion or importing. The company continues using its existing system, while the script handles the repetitive work of supplying it with data.
