Project context
Cateromarket compares meal delivery services. Its existing website had legacy code that made maintenance and changes difficult. The company needed a new technical foundation for product development.
The application already had features and rules for comparing offers. Understanding them was part of the work before moving functionality to the new version.
The challenge
The existing code contained business rules the website depended on. Changing the architecture required identifying and preserving them so the new version could still support important processes.
New product needs were emerging at the same time. Technical improvements needed to support future features rather than end with a technology replacement.
Our work
We analysed the existing application, processes and dependencies to identify what needed to be transferred and preserved.
We rebuilt core features on a new technical foundation, checking them against existing business rules and organising the application for further development.
After modernisation, we continued developing the website. Further stages introduced capabilities responding to ongoing business needs.
What changed for the company
Cateromarket retained its essential comparison logic within a new technical structure. Modernisation became the foundation for further product work, covering both the migration of existing features and later expansion.
