About the project
TimeCamp is a SaaS platform for tracking, reporting, and analyzing work time. Teams use it to obtain reliable information about project effort, delivery costs, and resource utilization. For many of those teams, monday.com is the primary environment for planning work and managing execution.
Without a direct connection, users had to switch between products, reproduce project structures manually, and monitor data consistency. This increased the administrative cost of time reporting, created friction during TimeCamp adoption, and disrupted the user’s daily workflow.
The objective was to make TimeCamp available as an app in the monday marketplace and embed time tracking directly into the project-management workflow. The solution needed to be easy to install, secure, resilient to synchronization errors, and ready to evolve with both product ecosystems.
Scope of work
We owned the complete marketplace app lifecycle: user-flow analysis, installation experience, integration model, data exchange, exception handling, and preparation for publication.
Workflow analysis and app design: we translated how teams use monday.com and TimeCamp into a consistent installation, authorization, and configuration flow. The goal was to minimize user decisions and shorten the path to a working connection.
Cross-platform data mapping: we designed clear relationships between projects, users, and the information required for time reporting. The model accounts for differences between both platforms and keeps synchronized data unambiguous.
Synchronization automation: we built data-exchange mechanisms that reduce manual copying and maintain project relationships. Teams can remain in monday.com while TimeCamp becomes a natural part of their reporting process.
Reliability and exception handling: we implemented data validation, error control, and retry mechanisms for interrupted operations. This reduces inconsistency risk and supports predictable day-to-day operation.
monday marketplace publication: we prepared the app for technical, security, and marketplace review requirements. The work also covered configuration quality and behavior in real user scenarios.
