Project context
From 2024 to 2025, we worked on connecting TimeCamp with monday.com. The integration serves teams that plan work in one tool and record time in the other. Project and user information needed to remain consistent.
We took the project from workflow analysis and data mapping through synchronisation to preparing the app for monday marketplace. Our work on this integration ended in 2025; other areas of our collaboration with TimeCamp continue.
The challenge
Each platform has its own data structures. Projects and users need to be matched to their counterparts in the other system so the information can support time reporting.
The integration also needs appropriate permissions and a way to handle communication failures. Marketplace distribution adds technical requirements and a review process.
Scope of work and solution
We analysed user workflows and designed installation, authorisation and configuration. We defined how projects, users and the information needed for time tracking would be linked.
We built synchronisation, data validation and error handling. Retries cover operations interrupted when communication fails.
We prepared the application for publication in the monday marketplace, accounting for technical and security requirements. We also checked configuration and integration behaviour against user scenarios.
Results for the client
Teams can keep planning in monday.com and tracking time in TimeCamp. Linked data reduces the need to maintain consistency manually. The marketplace application makes this connection available to other teams.
